Electric & Hybrid Car Warranty in Switzerland
Specialised protection for electric and hybrid vehicles: HV battery, electric motor, inverter and charging systems.
Specific challenges of electric vehicles
Electric and hybrid vehicles have very different mechanics. The HV battery is the most expensive component, with replacement costs of CHF 15,000–25,000.
- HV battery: most expensive component (CHF 8,000–25,000)
- Natural battery degradation over time
- Electric motor: more reliable but not failure-proof
- Power electronics: inverter, DC/DC converter, BMS
- Charging systems: on-board charger, connector, thermal management
- Software: updates and system compatibility
